Marine

Our involvement in the Marine industry dates back to the early days, when our founders, Alfred and George Price both served as ships engineers.

From manufacturing boilers, engines and propellers for steam vessels in the Auckland area, A&G Price went on to build a range of craft including barges, trawlers, lighters, the paddle steamer Patiki, and the iron-clad cutter Despatch.

A&G Price was heavily involved in the ANZAC ship project, manufacturing deck machinery, stabiliser fins, cooling equipment and floating operational room floor. On a smaller scale, anchor shanks and bollards are manufactured for NZ and overseas companies.

We are also major suppliers to the international racing yacht industry, supplying keel fins and bulbs around the world – including several America’s Cup – winning syndicates.
